Near Tunis-Carthage airport: where to spend the night

Tunis-Carthage airport is 14.5 kilometres from Byrsa Hill, about 18 minutes by car. Close enough, then, for a late arrival, a stopover or an early flight to begin or end with a night on the hill at Villa Didon Carthage.

The essentials

  • 14.5 km from the airport, 18 minutes by car
  • Front desk staffed through the night
  • A breakfast to take with you for early departures, on request
  • Airport transfers on request
  • Check-in from 3pm, check-out by noon

Landing late

The front desk is staffed all night. If your flight lands at 1am, you will be at the villa soon after 2am and can go straight to your suite. We can arrange a transfer from the airport; simply give us your flight number when you book.

Land earlier in the evening and dinner is still within reach: Le RestÔ seats its final guests at 11.30pm, and Le Light Bar stays open until 1am.

Leaving early

Breakfast at La Proue begins at 8.30am. Leaving at 6am? The kitchen will prepare a breakfast for you to take on the road; simply let us know the evening before.

The day you leave

Check-out is at noon. After that, we are happy to keep your luggage at the front desk for the rest of the day.

A morning stopover

With an afternoon flight, there is time for a morning in Carthage. The Acropolium esplanade on Byrsa Hill is a four-minute walk from the villa, and the hill is at its quietest before 10am, ahead of the coach tours. Then lunch at Le RestÔ, overlooking the bay, and you are back at the airport in under twenty minutes.
