ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 at Villa Didon

Since 22 June 2026, Villa Didon Carthage has been certified to ISO 9001 for quality and to ISO 22000 for food safety. Both certificates were issued by AFAQ AFNOR International following an audit, and both run for three years.

What each standard covers

ISO 9001 is about how the house is run: how the work is planned, followed through and put right when it falls short. Here it covers accommodation, the restaurant and the bars, from the moment you book to the moment you leave.

ISO 22000 is about the safety of what we serve. It covers food and drink service at every stage, from the choice of produce to its preparation.

What has already changed

Getting ready for the audit meant taking a hard look at how things were done, and some of the results already show. Allergens now appear on our menus. Complaints are dealt with more quickly. And we hear back from more of our guests than before.

The certificate is not the end of it: the house keeps working to improve. Both certificates are valid until June 2029.

For a seminar, a wedding or a dinner

The credit goes first to the teams: the kitchen, front of house, the suites, maintenance and purchasing.

For guests and clients, the certificates have a practical use. A company planning a seminar at Le Banquet, a family arranging a wedding, a guest with an allergy booking a table: each can rely on them. With their verification links, both certificates can be attached to a tender or a brief.
